Job Description: Under the direction of the Continuing Education Director, serves as an instructor in the area of adult literacy education. Adjunct/part-time instructor to teach face-to-face classes during the day to help adult students learn subject matter or employment skills to lead to potential intellectual and psychological growth. Make provisions, if known, for students with identified exceptionalities.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties: Teach assigned day classes; provide lessons using a variety of instructional strategies aligned with the NC Adult Education Content Standards; maintain and submit accurate attendance; submit required forms and documents in a timely manner.
Education and Experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in specialized training or experience in developmental disability instruction along with experience teaching adult learners is required. Basic computer skills and online instruction skills is preferred.
