ADULT BASIC EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR - MATH & SCIENCE (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

Job Description: Under the direction of the College and Career Readiness Instructional Coordinator, serves as an instructor in the area of adult basic education. Adjunct/part-time instructors are needed to teach face-to-face classes during the day. Hours could vary from 3 to 18 per week depending on enrollment/need.

Qualifications: The ability to: Teach assigned day classes. Provide lessons using a variety of instructional strategies aligned with the NC Adult Education Content Standards. Maintain and submit accurate attendance. Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner.

Essential Duties: Teach assigned day, face-to-face Math and/or Science courses in Continuing Education's Adult Basic Education program.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a bachelor's degree aligned with the subject area of instruction, experience teaching adult learners, and basic computer skills is required for this position. Online instruction skills preferred.
