Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. MLK Day became a federal holiday in 1983. It falls on the third Monday each January. This is the only federal holiday set as a day of service in which all Americans are encouraged to give back to their communities. We do this in remembrance of the service given by Martin Luther King Jr. that changed the hearts of many Americans and shaped our country’s future. Please enjoy this reflection on Dr. King’s legacy from members of our WCC family.
